Congratulations, Brian and Nancy!

I am headed to the Midwest tomorrow to celebrate a family wedding. All packed and ready to go. I fly to Namibia one day from today. Stay tuned...I will post more very soon. I hope that all of you are enjoying summer. :)

BON VOYAGE

BON VOYAGE....It is my last weekend in Seattle for a while. Friday was my last day working at UW Bothell. Below is the photo my colleague Sindi and I took since it was both of our last days on Friday..

I will certainly miss the amazing people, community and organizations here in Seattle. I fly out Tuesday morning for a family wedding, and then fly on to Namibia on July 24. It is exciting to begin this new chapter of my life, and to see where I might fit into the international development and human rights world at my placement site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my family and friends for everything you have shared with me, taught me, and for simply being in my life.

Preparations ~

Preparing for Namibia . . . I will be leaving soon for Namibia, where I will be serving as a Peace Corps volunteer. I will be teaching English to high school students, and working with women and girl's education and leadership training. It is an exciting next step in life, and I am very much looking forward to serving in this capacity. This blog will provide a forum for photos, experiences, stories, and dialogue along the way.
